Masseria San Domenico

Savelletri, Italy

Nestled in the heart of Puglia just a few steps away from the Adriatic sea, Masseria San Domenico is an impressive 15th century tower, immersed in a landscape of century-old olive groves. It is a natural oasis of peace surrounded by narrow paths and ancient drystone walls.

At only 700 meters, the rocky coast hosts the exclusive beach of the hotel where guests can soak up some sun without the crowds. Masseria san Domenico enjoys a strategic position, close to all cultural and historical cities not to be missed in Puglia. Perfectly restored arched passages and open courtyards alternate with warm and welcoming interiors in classical style, featuring star-shaped vaults and a tasteful decor that stands out for its refinement and traditional taste. The white stone rooms are decorated with antiques and elegant local crafts. Each room and suite is unique and offers magnificent views of the lush olive groves and the sea in the far distance.

Paying homage to its original use as an olive mill, the restaurant with star-vaulted arched ceilings and a large stone fireplace offers specialities from the traditional Apulian cuisine, based on a rich selection of local vegetables grown in San Domenico’s surrounding properties as well as home-made products which include the extra virgin olive oil.

The Spa is inspired by the principles of the Mediterranean lifestyle and aims to achieve a state of healthy, joyful and sustainable wellbeing. Every element is designed to reach the highest standards of wellness through the essential elements of thalassotherapy and completely natural ingredients such as olive oil. To fully enjoy all the benefits of the thalassotherapy treatments, guests can try a low calorie menu based on the Mediterranean diet.

Just 1km from the hotel, San Domenico a Mare is immersed in a pristine natural environment from where to enjoy the beauty of the landscape and the refreshing sea breeze. Four contemporary "pied dans l'eau" rooms inspired by the seafaring culture allow for complete relaxation with the lulling sound of the waves. As the sun sets over the magnificent Adriatic, enjoy an aperitivo of champagne, oysters, vodka and caviar and dine at the restaurant La Nassa which offers a refined menu of freshly caught fish and the finest carpaccios prepared by the chefs in a typical Apulian manner.
