Ngorongoro Lodge, member of The Meliá Collection, a fully renovated classic African lodge, in the largest volcanic caldera of the world.

Located in northern Tanzania in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ngorongoro Lodge was carefully designed with the utmost respect for the environment honoring its unique location: a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its breathtaking 26,247 square feet natural oasis and iconic 1,969 feet deep crater.

Ngorongoro Lodge is the brand’s fourth property in Africa and belongs to The Meliá Collection, a group of unique and exclusive hotels with their own distinctive personality.

This iconic bush safari lodge was the first lodge ever built in the crater, and after a full renovation, it’s now an extraordinary example of African Modernism architectural movement; keeping the timeless atmosphere created by its original fireplaces and wooden ceilings and with the added value of all the state-of-the-art luxurious facilities and services.

The lodge is designed to offer all 60 rooms with a exclusive view to the crater. 24 of them are suites, 35 standard and 1 independent villa with private chef and butler service.
