Valverde Lisboa Hotel & Garden, located in Avenida da Liberdade and the only Relais & Châteaux property in the centre of Lisbon, opened in 2014, inspired by the memory of the old Avenida da Liberdade. A true oasis of comfort and discreet luxury in the heart of the city, Valverde Lisboa quickly became a true city icon, with its warm, personalized and attentive service, where everything has been thought to detail to make guests feel at home.
Currently, the boutique hotel has a total of 48 rooms and suites, a restaurant serving haute Portuguese cuisine - Sítio -, a spacious bar of the same name, known for its signature cocktails and weekly musical agenda, three living rooms full of character, a wellness space composed of a gym, a treatment room and a heated outdoor pool, and an interior courtyard that soon became the heart and symbol of the hotel.
The architecture and interior design are the work of José Pedro Vieira and Diogo Rosa Lã from Bastir studio, who restored the 1889 residential building and transformed it into a kind of extended house, marked by a deeply intimate atmosphere. Inspired by the spirit of London and New York townhouses, they developed a project with a markedly classical and elegant language, in which comfort and the "home" feeling are conferred by contemporary furniture, works of art, objects and antiques that were carefully chosen over time and distributed throughout the hotel.
